    New Eco-Friendly Patio Heaters

Ever since the first release of patio heater, there have always been people who have argued against their use. The biggest arguement is that they are bad for the environment because of the way the heat is generated. Other arguments against them are that they waste alot of heat and energy in general.

The most common of complaints, that they damage the environment, is true. The way a standard patio heater creates heat is by burning propane gas. As with everything that is burned, carbon dioxide is created in the process, which causes damage to the environment.

The second argument against them, that they waste a huge amount of heat, is also true. Although the tops of patio heaters are designed to reflect heat towards the ground rather than letting it rise up, a huge amount of heat is still wasted in the process.

However, a new heating company called Chillchaser has created a range of new patio heaters that are aimed to resolve all those issues.

Rather than using a standard method of generating hear, Chillchaser have come up with a new way to do it. They use carbon fibre rods to create the heat. The main advantage of using this form of heating is that no CO2 is created in the process. Although this sounds like it would have no effect on the environment, it doesn’t quite. Because these heaters don’t use gas, they require electricity to power the carbon rods, however, the actual eneregy required is very little so they actually only release 50% of the emissions that a standard patio heater would.

This new way of heating also helps to combat the second complaint, that they waste a large amount of heat. Carbon fibre heating is able to create more focused heat which means that less heat is actually wasted.

The final advantage that Chillchaser heaters have over others is that they include an infrared sensor. The sensor can detect movement and turns the heater on or off when movement is detected. This helps to reduce the impact on the environment if the heater is ever forgotten about.

From the looks of these new patio heaters, Chillchaser have managed to revolutionse patio heaters and many eco-friendly people won’t be able to complain about these heaters. I suppose the only complaint that could be made would be that they shouldn’t be used in the first place, which Chillchaser can’t really combat.

I would love to see how Chillchaser would improve a standarddehumidifiers; maybe build in a home weather station to it, that would solve two problems in one.
